I’m so excited about all the camel colored clothing & gold accessories for fall. I’m already fast forwarding to fall, summer barely made an appearance in L.A.. As I type this I have my space heater on next to my desk, warming my feet. Yes, it is mid-August, I know. O.K. back to fashion, I have found recently that my silver jewelry has been staying in the closet more and my gold has been getting a little bit more play time. Here’s some things that I’m craving for fall.
I’ve been drooling over these Chloe pants below. They have been in all the fashion magazines and this photo was straight from runway. I want these so bad for work. They are classy, the perfect tan color, and I love the bow and I’m not a bow girl! The only way I’ll be wearing these pants is if I hit Lotto by September. HMM! What are the chances of that? I have champagne taste on a beer budget and now I need to find a great knock off. If someone finds a pair, let me know.
I’m loving this shirt (see below) from Elizabeth and James. It would look perfect with a pair of leggings, jeans, or cream paints paired with a little cami underneath. This Michael Kors watch is perfect for fall. I fell in love with it a couple of years ago when I was looking for an inexpensive gold watch to wear with my beige and cream clothes. A gold Rolex wasn’t in the budget (my fantasy) and this watch looked just like it minus a few less zeros on the price tag. I know a lot of people have the chronograph one but I actually prefer the simplicity of this watch. Believe it or not, I get a lot of compliments from both men and women. It doesn’t break the bank and looks good with everything. The pocketbook below from J Crew is my secret obsession. I’ve had my eye on it since it first appeared in the fall catalogue. Funny, I’m not one for all kinds of zippers, but there is something about this bag that makes me go bananas as Rachel Zoe would say. The Willow Crepe Skirt looks great on how they styled it on Net-A-Porter. It would make a great holiday skirt vs. the all black look.
My other fall favorites are classic Ray Bans and a Tomais Maier Cashmere Poncho, perfect for a fall day in California (we don’t need jackets, except for this summer) I keep spotting these J Brand Skinny Cargos and I have to say they might be my new fall cargo pant (they also come in army green). I’ve seen them paired with wedges, chunky boots, and even heels. I love them because you can dress them up or dress them down. Living at the beach, I tend to get lazy in my attire. I used to dress like the Chloe picture to go to the mall when I first moved here, now I’m in a pair of Abercrombie sweats and a tee shirt. These cargos are the perfect compromise. As for shoes, I welcome anything into my wardrobe that is patent leather. I like the two tone of these Miu Miu shoes along with the peep toe.
What are your fall picks? These are just a few of mine. Gray is big this year too.
Are you a gray girl or a tan girl?
Hope you have a fabulous day!
P.S. Do you say pocketbook, handbag, or purse?

i'm a camel girl all the way. i'm happy i don't have to buy a single nugget this fall to fit in to the camel chic coming our way....although those shoes are beckoning my charge card...
i say "handbag", but i wish i said "pocketbook".
I love all of your picks! You have great taste and that watch is, as you said, simple, yet very impressive. As far as gray or camel - I'm both that is why I am head over heels about this fall's fashions. The colors and silhouettes are gorgeous.
Thanks for your comment yesterday, by the way, I love that view highlights as a necessity, not a luxury. I couldn't agree more. :)
I say all 3. Mom says pocketbook so it flows naturally from my lips, but handbag and purse seem natural as well. Sharon
