Ok, just so you don’t think I’m crazy I’m going to post some of his other projects because I know some of you are too lazy to check out his website, LOL! See for yourself the contrast in design. I love that he is so diverse. It’s like dating two different men! The porches on this home sing to me.

Hope you’re all having a great week. I’ve had a crazy couple of weeks. I’ve got stacks of mags piling up. I have had the April issue of AD sitting by my bed and I kept flipping through it and one designers home kept jumping out at me. It was like, really? So different from my own personal taste and style but Sid Beragmin’s home kept capturing my eye. His name did not ring a bell to me, so of course, I started doing some research and realized many of the images I love out there are his. I know I’m all over the place – back to the photos in AD.
OMG! I felt like someone opened the large pack of Crayola crayons and threw them up in the air and drew all over his house. Talked about color – texture – eclectic. You name it, it’s in there. I love how he describes it as something you put in the blender and mix it all up. WOWZA. Like my made up word. Really. I will tell you this is soooooooooooooooooo contrary and polar opposite of my own taste but, I LOVE IT! I want to have cocktails at this house. I want to go to a party at this house. I want to be a guest at this house. Wait until you see my guest room. What I love so much about his designs after obsessing over his website www.sigberamin.com is how undeniably talented he is with his ability to do contemporary, classic, eclectic, and traditional. I think I pinned his whole website. He said his house is so different than what he typically designs. UGH, YEAH! Take a look at the outside of his house. It looks like something you would see down South.
Then look at that blast of color on the inside. Come on, you have to agree it looks like a box of crayons. Pick your color. Murano glass covering the shelves, pops of color everywhere. How could you walk through here in a bad mood?
For a girl with an all white house, I have to tell you I would be so happy in this room. While I personally could never decorate like this – I am love with his use of color. I love all his art work on the next two photos below.
How awesome is this home library. Imagine writing your blog in there. I also LOVE how he has the books arranged. Contrary to other designers, I am not fond of one color books – it’s too matchy matchy for me. I love seeing all sizes and shapes with various colors on the shelves. He has a sense of order with his books which appeals to me.

Ok, look at this orderly closet. Mine doesn’t come close to this and I love all the color. Even the shoes. It feels like Palm Beach.
The perfect men’s bathroom – I would even like this for myself. Love the dark wall paper and eclectic art work.
Never in a million years could I decorate a room like this unless I worked under him to understand how his mind works but OMG, I want this to be my guest room. It’s obscene in a good way. This would be too chaotic for my day to day life but OMG, I want to be his guest. How cozy is this room.
I’m beyond obsessed with his work. Check out his website www.sigbergamin.com and look under beach and residential. All his beach designs feel like “me” and there are more photos of his residence under residential as well as other homes he has designed. You’ll really be able to see what an amazing talent he is! He just makes me HAPPY! I wish Sid were my neighbor so I could go over and have cocktails or if I was in a bad mood walk through his house just to put a smile on my face and then come home to my all white home, LOL! Hope Sid puts a smile on your face today!

Hope ya’ll are having a great week. I am in Dallas this week for the RILA conference. It’s the largest conference of the year hosting all the major retailers like J CREW, TJX, Williams Sonoma, etc. but geared for logistics and supply chain professionals. Things are wrapping up today and I will be back to LA tomorrow. I had a couple of blog posts that I was going to do but my AA flight did not have gogo. On a side note, I found out that none of their 757’s have internet. Note to all AA travelers. Needless to say I went into internet withdrawal. So, I’m a little behind this week on posting between work, conferences, and dinner. One more night to go and I will be back in LA LA land. Hope ya’ll are having a great week.

It’s quite brisk for us here at the beach this morning. The sun is shining and it’s a lovely day. I hope it warms up just a wee bit.

This is EXACTLY how I feel right now. There is no other way to say it. Nope, none! I was working on my blog and lost my original archaic template. I have wanted to switch over to the Simple Template however, I haven’t had time to play around with it. I like my blog very clean and white. Yes, just like my house for those that know me. Anyone looking at my blog tonight would have seen various graphic patterns and colors that would make your head spin. I texted my girlfriend about a lattice pattern I posted and this was her reply via text…. “The lattice is busy. Needs to be smaller or something.” Next text, “Headache”. Next text, “Feels like NYC rush hour”.
My boyfriend was ready to crucify me because I first asked him to center my logo (moved to the left on the new template and blogger doesn’t let you center it the easy way) and then I wanted to change the color on the sides to a pattern another nightmare. Unfortunately, you can’t just upload it or center it so you need to know HTML. I must have emailed Megan at Beach Bungalow 8 a million times asking her for help looking for short cuts while the boyfriend was cursing me out under his breath as I asked him 50 million questions. He told me if I was a client he would have quit by now LOL!
Since I have to rescale everything for this new template, I will be experimenting with colors, fonts, backgrounds, etc. so bare with me. Definitely give me your input – I tried this graphic in multiple sizes and colors (the side border). We all agreed the blue and white looked best but now I’m not sure if I like the white on blue that is on here or if I like the white with blue you haven’t seen. Don’t forget I can make it larger or smaller. OMG! I’m my own worst nightmare. Stay tuned while I experiment. In the interim, I’m going to loose my mind. All the more reason why white is so clean and simple and always classy. Now I have to go bug Laura about my logo – are you reading this Laura M. in CT????

Back in October, I visited the new Restoration Hardware store located in West Hollywood. I had heard they had created an outdoor venue to showcase their outdoor furniture and created a large signature store for their home furnishings. I was excited to see the exterior space they had designed and how they incorporated their outdoor furniture and décor. It did not disappoint.
Below is a sample of some of the group seating arrangements they had displayed. You are instantly transformed after stepping from the sidewalk through a pair of wrought iron gates. They’ve done a great job showcasing the various pieces they have by incorporating outdoor lights, fountains, wall art, and beautiful greenery and potted succulents designed by Eddie Zaratsian (more to come on Eddie). The images below are from the Restoration Hardware outdoor collections which can be found online.
I imagine myself with friends sitting at this table below at my future Napa house drinking and sampling wine from our wine tasting day with yummy cheeses and gourmet chocolates. A girl can dream can’t she? This zinc covered table is flanked by two wooden outdoor chandeliers with white slip covered (outdoor fabric) chairs.
A beautiful mix of succulents done by Eddie Zaratsian in a gigantic shell. I love how versatile this is for indoors or out.
Below wall art featuring mirrors mixed with stone sculptures, creeping fig (the plant) and a lovely water fountain complete the look.

As you move from the outdoor space to the interior building you enter Eddie Zaratsian Floral Boutique. All I can say is “OOH LA LA” Gorgeous. Eddie’s boutique is located within the RH Store. He did all the outdoor arrangements which, are breathtaking. His space is so tasteful you can help see why RH has partnered with him and vice versa. He explained to me that much of his design comes from his travels and experiences around the world. Most of his designs incorporate natural elements whether it be shells, driftwood, old containers, unusual materials. He looks to his travels and his experiences as a source of inspiration to create new and ever changing designs. He has a large celebrity following and his designs and expertise have been utilized by fashion and entertainment industry (Chanel, Oprah Network, Governors Ball). Not only is his work beautiful but it has an organic fresh feel to it. It helps too that he’s soooo nice and funny. This photo below is the main desk. Look a that box of green – delish. Eddie’s designs has a very organic feel to them – they are truly and extension of nature.
I am not a succulent person “at all” – I find them cold and unattractive however, the way he puts them together made me fall in love with them. It just goes to show that flowers and plants to a floral designer are like furniture, accessories and art to an interior designer. It takes the right person to showcase the flowers or plants in a manner that works and is attractive just like interior design.

The green looks so pretty in all the metal buckets shelved on reclaimed wood. So much nicer than plastic white buckets in a glass case. Make sure you scroll to the end to see the lovely bouquet he made for me.
After you walk through Eddie Zaratsian's incredible floral and lifestyle boutique you walk into the large living areas carefully space planned by Restoration Hardware The store itself proved challenging to photograph. It was heavily lit and lacked natural light. The store is quite large and is on two floors. They used a lot of vintage pieces as added décor which can be seen in the photo below.

The display below was in a bathroom on the corner of a counter. The glass box with the vintage shaving brushes would be a great touch for a man’s bathroom or for the man in your life.
The photo below was one of the more formal areas showcasing living furniture. RH is definitely following the trends right now with Belgium design but I’m ready for them to mix it up just a little bit.
A RH cabinet displayed by vintage sports teams and equipment. My girlfriend bought this cabinet for her living room to put all her components in it. She loves it.
Below is a photo of Eddie and me. While I was walking around RH, he made me and my friend Maureen a beautiful bouquet to take home (the one I’m holding in my hand). I’m giggling thinking of us taking this picture. This was the only one the two of us agreed on. We made my friend take five or six pictures and we kept laughing saying, “Redo!”. We kept saying, “nope not or that one” or I liked it and he didn’t and vice versa. It was hilarious. When and if I can afford his beautiful works of nature…I will have him on speed dial for pieces for my home or parties. In the interim, I will share him with all of you and admire his work whenever, I step through the doors of Restoration Hardware. Make sure if you visit the RH Store in West Hollywood to stop in and see Eddie’s space and tell him Peggy & Fritz sent you.
